Spirit is the spice that keeps youth activities interesting, but organization and strong leadership are the key ingredients to their success. In twelve cities in the CIS, Tzivos Hashem is piloting a new approach to youth activities. Once fine-tuned, the centers will be replicated in CIS cities far and wide. The program has the following features:

• Native-born Jewish youth directors are hired in each pilot city. These young men and women understand the language and the culture of the young participants.
• Seasoned youth directors in Dnepropetrovsk, headquarters of Tzivos Hashem in the CIS, create Jewish curricula and special programs with step-by-step instructions for easy implementation by the other youth directors in pilot program areas.
• Youth directors also oversee all area Shabbatons, holiday rallies, Jewish craft workshops, and Shabbat afternoon gatherings.
• Incentive programs are in place to keep staff and participants building the youth group’s success.
